Please tell us about the nature of your partnership.
Ramco offers process optimisation solutions designed to improve plant productivity and efficiency in manufacturing industries such as cement, power, chemical and fertilizers. As a global specialist in energy management, Schneider Electric´s MMM (Mining, Minerals, Metals) division provides solutions to maximise production, increasing overall efficiency and optimising asset utilisation. With this strategic partnership, Ramco´s advanced process optimisation software, OPTIMA, will serve as an important part of Schneider Electric´s solutions for the cement industry and will strategically help Ramco to explore business opportunities, mainly outside India.
To new customers, Schneider would jointly position the integrated solution either with their automation system or as a part of their MES systems.
On the other hand, for existing customers, Schneider will be able to provide Ramco´s OPTIMA offering as a value add to their current system, thus ensuring a completely integrated solution.
Please tell us a bit about the OPTIMA for cement industry?
Ramco OPTIMA is a process optimisation solution designed to improve clinker and cement quality, reduce the thermal/electrical energy consumption and maximise production. The solution enables users to achieve online control on process operations. The OPTIMA solution itself is sub-divided further into two categories that focus on specific operations of the cement industry. One is for kiln and cooler section of the plant and the other is for mill controls of the plant.
