  Cement demand set for a take-off
ACC Limited and Ambuja Cements – the two Indian units of building materials manufacturer LafargeHolcim – have posted their Q3 results. ACC’s Q3 numbers have surprised positively, while Ambuja’s operating results in Q3CY17 were marginally below estimates.

Speeding up wagon unloading
The material can be received at a plant by two different types of wagons - BOXN wagons and BOBRN wagons. Generally the material will be discharged from the top in BOXN wagons, while in the case of BOBRN wagons, it will be discharged from the bottom.

In a landmark delivered on October 24, 2017 the Supreme Court bench comprising of Justice Madan B Lokur and Justice Deepak Gupta banned the use of dirty furnace oil and pet coke in Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh from November 1, 2017.
