Ashok Jain of Jainum
ASHOK JAIN of Jainum is in cement business for the past 15 years. The company supplies cement to government contractors, builders and developers. The supplies are approximately 2,000 mt of cement per month. "Nowadays stocking of cement is not possible due to high handling charges", said Jain. About the largest selling grade of cement, Jain explained that it is blended PPC, because it gives better and long lasting life to buildings. About price volatility, Jain said that it affects our business, as the manufacturers increase the price every week. About the better things he expects from the manufacturers are better profit margins, as the company sometime faces high bad debts and profit paid now is only nominal. Jain is satisfied with the packaging of cement, and he is of the opinion that hooks should not be used at railway yards and all the materials should be transported in packed containers, which should be sealed properly to avoid theft at the time of transportation. "Bank rates have gone up and the companies should have a tie-up with banks for low interest loans", said Jain. About Budget 2011-12 Jain said that the budget has not given any benefit to the end user.
