Sanghi Cement Inaugurates New Grinding Unit

As a part of its efforts to augment capacity and increase efficiencies Sanghi Cement has recently commissioned its new grinding unit at its plant in Kutch. Inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel the Rs 125 crore new facility will increase the cement production capacity to 4.1 MTPA from the current 2.9 MTPA. According to

this is a testimony to the fact that Sanghi Industries is considered as one of the leading corporate which has contributed to the industrial growth in Kutch and Gujarat.

The CM also laid the foundation stone for a 15 MW waste heat recovery System (WHRS). This 150 crore green energy project is expected to be commissioned in next two years. Aditya Sanghi, Director, Sanghi Industries said, "Waste heat recovery can become an economical and reliable supplement to captive power generation in an energy-intensive industry like cement. In addition, this practice comprises energy conservation and efficiency that helps the cement industry meets its low carbon technology roadmap for the future."

Explaining the growth strategies Alok Sanghi, Director, Sanghi Industries said, "Our focus is on increasing efficiencies at our manufacturing facility as well as reducing our carbon footprint by cutting down on pollutants that affect the environment. Our objective is to improve profitability and margins through reducing costs and higher productivity. The new grinding unit would increase productivity, while the WHRS would reduce our costs and greenhouse gas emissions."
