INVENTUM’s latest techniques in hydraulics, pneumatics & induction heating

INVENTUM has come long way and developed several models of bearing induction heaters, which have become the trusted choice of the leading industries in India.

INVENTUM specialises in developing special tools and equipment used for proper handling, mounting and dismounting of shrunk fit machine elements like bearings, gears, couplings and other transmission components.

Almost 50 per cent of the premature bearing failures can be attributed to the faulty methods of fitting. When a new bearing fails quickly after installation, chances are that although the bearing itself was fine, its life expectancy was cut short due to improper installation procedures. Life expectancy of the bearing can be increased several times by correct fitting methods. The correct method is to heat the bearing before shrink fitting.

Heating by blow torches tends to overheat and spoil the bearing. Heating in oil bath is a slow process and can cause contamination and loss of prelubrication. It is also environmental and safety hazard. Direct electrical heaters have problems of energy loses and uneven heating.

For such specialised products, INVENTUM is using the latest techniques in hydraulics, pneumatics and induction heating. Inventum mobile hydraulic press model 'HIPR-100/70' which is used for mounting and dismounting of CTRBUs (cartridge taper roller bearing units), is considered at par with the best imported equipment is used for this application by the Indian Railways as well as manufacturers of CTRBUs because of its performance and its quality.

INVENTUM has come long way and developed several models of bearing induction heaters, which have become the trusted choice of the leading industries in India. The wide experience of engineers at INVENTUM has enabled them to develop a progressively growing range of products which are user-oriented, practical, and reliable. Large numbers of INVENTUM induction heaters of HIB-series are functioning satisfactorily with leading industries and railway workshops all over India for more than 30 years.
